Teen Mothers?

C'mon guys, be honest, most of us have a teenage girls name in our head already.  We all know of somebody who is under 18 and has a child.  I'm not here to victimise young mums and I'm not here to stand up for them either.  Yeah, sure, they may have made a mistake but does that really make them a bad person?

As a 16 year old girl I know a fair share of girls who have had or are going to have a baby and they are all great parents from what I can tell.  In my opinion, I don't judge somebody by something that I've heard about them, what's sad is that so many people do and to be honest with you, it does my fucking head in.  So what if a young girl is going to be a mum before she turns 18, we all make mistakes, some more than others.  From the girls that I know, they rarely go out with friends, they have given up their life for their child and for somebody to make harsh comments to that girl is disgusting. She gave up her life to be a mother, what more can she do, she has most likely left school, has lost many of her friends and doesn't do anything for her self anymore.  How would you go being say 16-18 years of age, seeing your friends go out and have a good time partying on the weekends while you are at home caring for a baby? Huh? You tell me.

Love is love, fullstop

Okay, so these thoughts are from watching a YouTube video about a bunch of American’s who are a part of the Westboro Baptist Church these people have 0 tolerance for gay and lesbian people, I won’t get into heaps of detail about the video, I’ll let you watch it for yourself.
Part 1-  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMbfQ117Jts

Part 2- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T_ok0MaLSQ

Firstly, I’m a straight female and I am 10000000000000% for gay and lesbian marriage. What’s so bad about it? NOTHING.

Who the fuck are you to try and destroy another persons happiness? Does it directly concern you? Probably not.  Is it going to kill you? Hell no it won’t.  Gay and lesbians have the same feelings for their partner as a straight person.  They love, they care, they need, they cry, they hug, they kiss, they get intimate. JUST like a straight couple.  Some people say that if gay marriage becomes legal that it will change Australia and ruin straight marriages.  It will change Australia, for the better, people will be free and happy, those who are not happy about same-sex marriage need to get a grip of themselves if you ask me. How can two men or two women getting married destroy a straight marriage? It can’t.

The Westboro Baptist Church is entitled to their own opinion, as is every body else, but they have crossed a line, a VERY big line.  If you watched the video you will know that they hold up signs in public places, these signs have horrible messages written on them, here’s to mention a few:

‘Fags worthy of death’

‘Fags doom nations’

‘Fags die, god laughs’

Do they even take it into consideration how much this could hurt another’s feelings? Do they even have a heart?! Nobody is worthy of death, no matter what. Just because you don’t like them, doesn’t mean that they have a right to die for crying out loud. I don’t see how a gay/lesbian person can harm a country just because of their sexuality.  Anybody can drop a bomb, anybody can start a fire, anybody could destroy a country. Now, I am not religious, I believe in what I want to believe and if I believe something I will stick to it, though, this doesn’t mean that I don’t want anything to do with those who are religious, because that is their choice and not mine, it does not affect my life, but saying that God laughs when a gay/lesbian person passes away is by far one of the most horrific things I have ever heard in my entire life.

While this is off subject, I still feel that I have some points to share.  The Westboro Baptist Church held up signs at a US Soldiers funeral, signs said ‘Thank god for dead soldiers’  What the fuck? That’s so rude.  A man fought for his life in order to protect your life and your country and lost his life, this is what you do to re-pay him! Surely his family and friends were going through enough and they did not need this bullshit! This is really pissing me of, the more I type the harder I hit the keys on my laptop… that’s not a good sign.

I hope that this way of life fades out naturally or that they keep their opinions to themselves, this is so, so, so wrong and I’m sure that many people agree with me.
